The plural of the Latin noun alga, algae simply means “seaweeds”. This scientific term opens the new seaweed harvesters’ museum towards the future: it speaks of research, innovation and the contemporary challenges of the sea.
The ALGAE centre offers a sensory and cultural experience, revealing how a marine organism of apparent simplicity has shaped our history and our food, and how it may inspire the future.
