History

The work of the seaweed harvesters, the men and women who wrote a history here by working a natural resource.

For centuries, seaweed harvesting supported the families of the Léon coast. This tour tells the story of that trade: what was gathered, how, with which tools and which clothes — and how a resource picked up on the foreshore came to feed an entire industry.
